    Main cast:- Sergeant Kit Cobbe; Corporal Tiny Kettle; Sapper Bats Batsford; Jimmy, the Naga - a Burmese boy.

    Time period:- Far East, World War Two.

    Special Squad are a team of three soldiers of the 14th Army and a young Burmese boy operating as a section of do-it-yourself experts. The 14th Army fought in the Far East against the Japs in Burma. The Army was nicknamed "The Forgotten Army". As they were short of supplies, it was the job of Sergeant Cobbe and his team to make use of whatever was available and use it to provide solutions to whatever problem they given by various officers each week. They carried out their duties using a small truck and trailer and operated separately from any unit.
