Writer:- The Hornet editorial team. Artist:- Not known.

Main cast:- Greg Stewart; Somerset 'Plum' Duffy.

Time period:- 1960's.

The title of this strip suggests a secret agent story, but it turns out this isn’t the case. Ex-Captain Greg Stewart, formally of the Special Air Service is on the hunt for an unusual, non-desk job. Stewart is happy to go anywhere and do anything as long as it is legal and exciting.

Much to his surprise, Brigadier Dawlish, director of the National Military Museum, answers Stewarts' newspaper advertisement. His job, along with his assistant, deputy keeper, (the splendidly named) Somerset “Plum” Duffy is to travel the world tracking down military items for the museum. (Nice work if you can get it).

This being a boys comic adventure series means their escapades won’t be straight forward, as in, arrive at a location, collect the object and return to the museum without incident.

Only after dealing with for example, armed Chinese border guards, terrorists in Borneo, armed robbers in Canada and so on can Greg and Somerset complete their tasks. And some of Stewart’s methods are slightly unusual to say the least.

The following adventures of Greg Stewart and Duffy are from issues 223; 225; 227 & 229.
